GrindingHub Americas: The first trade fair for grinding technology in the Americas

A dedicated trade fair for grinding technology will debut in the United States in 2027. GrindingHub Americas brings the established Stuttgart concept to Cincinnati, offering a focused platform for manufacturers and technology providers. The event aims to support key industrial sectors by concentrating expertise and innovation in one location.

GrindingHub Americas will be the first trade fair in the region designed exclusively for grinding technology. Organized by the VDW, Messe Stuttgart and Swissmem, the concept builds on the success of GrindingHub Stuttgart. The initiative originated with international manufacturers seeking a clearly defined event for the American market. Their request for a structured and technology-focused platform reflects the growing importance of grinding processes across advanced manufacturing. According to the organizers, the US market’s industrial momentum, combined with established local subsidiaries of global suppliers, creates a favorable environment for a specialized event. The partners expect the fair to become a central meeting point for companies looking to expand their technological reach.

Scope and technological focus

The exhibition will cover the full spectrum of grinding technology. This includes machines, tools and peripheral systems, together with automation, measurement solutions, digital applications and production technologies that support higher levels of efficiency. Live demonstrations are planned to showcase advancements aimed at increasing productivity and lowering manufacturing costs. The format encourages direct exchange between international market leaders and local experts, with an emphasis on practical insights. Innovations in process stability, sustainable production and high levels of manufacturing accuracy will form a core part of the offering. By concentrating these technologies in a single venue, the fair intends to provide decision-makers with a structured overview of current capabilities.

Strategic importance of Cincinnati

The debut edition will take place in Cincinnati, a location positioned close to major industrial clusters in the Midwest. The region is home to significant production facilities in aerospace, automotive, defense, medical technology and mechanical engineering. Proximity to companies such as GE Aerospace underscores the strategic nature of the venue. The organizers emphasize that bringing suppliers and user industries together in a central industrial hub strengthens knowledge transfer. It also provides manufacturers with an opportunity to demonstrate how modern grinding technologies contribute to competitiveness in high-demand sectors.

Industry support and preparations for 2027

Preparations for the inaugural event advanced with the first board meeting in Cincinnati in early November 2025. Leading companies in the field, including Action SuperAbrasive, Anca, Norton Saint-Gobain, Rollomatic, Star SU LLC, Supertec Machinery, United Grinding North America and Vollmer America, joined the advisory group. Industry representatives underline the need for a specialized event in the Americas that concentrates solely on grinding processes. The board aims to ensure that exhibitors can present solutions that support process optimization and precision-driven production. GrindingHub Americas will be held from May 18 to 20, 2027 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati under the motto Where precision meets progress.
