Haimer shows peripherals for more productive grinding
At the upcoming GrindingHub 2022, the new grinding technology trade show in Stuttgart, Haimer will be exhibiting in hall 7, booth 7C36. The market leader for tool holding and balancing technology, is showing its current high-precision grinding wheel holders, and balancing machines, as well as a newly developed high-precision clamping system for round shanks, which is perfectly suitable for automated blank changing.
Haimer, the world market leader in the field of balancing technology for tools, grinding wheels, and tool holders, is doing a lot of research in milling, turning and grinding tools, and their optimal use. Among other things, this is demonstrated by a complete range of grinding wheel adapters for tool grinding machines of all famous machine tool builders such as Vollmer, Walter, UWS Reinecker and Rollomatic.
Haimer also offers a wide range of suitable grinding wheel adapters for the innovative high-precision multi-task machines, which unite milling and turning, as well as grinding technology. These holders are available in HSK-63 spindle coupling as a monoblock version or in multi-part with one or four clamping screws. A corresponding offer is also available for the HSK-A100 and PSC 63 spindle interfaces.
In addition, Haimer supplies special customized grinding wheel adapters for clamping diameters from 56 mm to 280 mm which can be equipped with various efficient cooling options for the grinding wheels.
High-precision clamping system for round shanks
The latest innovation in the Haimer program is the high-precision clamping system for round shanks "High Precision Clamp Master" which can be used on many well-known cutting tool grinding machines with drawbar clamping. The flexible system is perfectly suitable for automated blank changing. It pays off quickly, especially for small batch sizes with automatic loading, as the machine is ready to grind again in a very short time.
The Haimer High Precision Clamp Master is characterized by the highest level of accuracy. The runout and wobble can be adjusted in the machine and the highest runout repeatability of < 0.002 mm is guaranteed when changing the collets. A time-consuming adjustment of the runout is no longer necessary.
Fine balanced grinding wheels ensure precision and economy
A core product in the Haimer portfolio since 1996 have been the Tool Dynamic balancing machines that compensate the unbalance from milling and turning tools, but also from grinding wheels. Even if balancing seems complicated at first glance, with Tool Dynamic machines it is easy to handle and affordable to everyone.
Haimer Tool Dynamic machines are suitable for balancing of tool holders, grinding wheels and large rotors with a diameter of up to 1,000 mm. They impress with highest repeatability of < 0.5 gmm, which corresponds to an eccentricity of 0.5 µm for a tool with a weight of 1kg.
The modular designed series offers the right solution for every kind of requirement. For example, the table top machine TD 1002 is ideal for balancing grinding wheels. The balancing adapters with an automatic clamping system center the tool with µm-precision like in the tool grinding machine, and thus ensuring the highest measuring accuracy and repeatability. With the optional runout measuring device, the runout and axial runout of grinding wheels can even be measured in one single setup. The TD 1002 can be operated via an integrated keypad and display.
The most common models in the market, Tool Dynamic Comfort and Comfort Plus, are operated via touchscreen using the modern and user-friendly TD 4.0 balancing software. In a simple way, these systems offer the possibility to balance two planes.
Balancing and presetting technology perfectly combined
The Tool Dynamic series also includes the Tool Dynamic Preset Microset, which perfectly combines balancing and presetting technology. The tool is clamped in the high-precision balancing spindle with the proven and patented Haimer adapter system. With this machine, the edges of the grinding wheels can be optimally measured using an edge finder. This machine is also available in an Industry 4.0 version which allows an automated transfer of the determined, maximum permitted spindle speed of the grinding wheel pack directly to the control of the grinding machine, so that the machine can then be used productively at the permitted maximum speed without exceeding it.
