At AMB 2026 in Stuttgart, Yamazaki Mazak will show seven machining solutions and three automation systems. The exhibition runs from 15 to 19 September in Hall 7, Stand C11. It will include Multi-Tasking machines, 5-axis pallet automation and digital monitoring tools. These solutions are designed to reduce manual intervention and support varied production requirements. The programme reflects demand for systems that can handle complex work, shorten lead times and maintain process reliability. Therefore, Mazak will focus on combining turning, milling and grinding in one set-up.
The stand will also present automation options for compact machines and 5-axis machining centres. Several machines are aimed at subcontractors and manufacturers with high product mixes, small batch sizes or high-volume production. A Solutions Centre will allow visitors to view machine simulators using SMOOTH CNC control technology and the iCONNECT M2M service. All machines at the exhibition will connect through this digital platform. This will demonstrate real-time machine monitoring and remote support.
Multi-Tasking combines machining processes
A central exhibit will be the INTEGREX i-250ST NEO, equipped with Mazak’s advanced grinding package. The machine combines turning, milling and grinding in one set-up. This approach can reduce transfers between machines and repeated clamping operations. As a result, manufacturers can shorten cycle times while improving surface quality and dimensional accuracy. Mazak will also present the j-200S NEO. This is the first INTEGREX model manufactured at the company’s European plant specifically for the European market. The machine is intended for general subcontracting, automotive, motorsport, aerospace and medical applications. It is positioned as an option for turret lathe users seeking to reduce set-up times and lead times.
The j-200S NEO supports a broader range of operations on one machine. Therefore, it can reduce handling between processes. The two exhibits illustrate different applications of Multi-Tasking technology. The i-250ST NEO adds grinding to a broad machining scope. In contrast, the j-200S NEO targets production environments where reduced handling and faster changeovers can improve the profitability of varied work. Mazak states that these developments respond to demand from new and established Multi-Tasking machine users.
Compact automation for 5-axis work
AMB 2026 will mark the European introduction of a new compact pallet automation system. The system will be integrated with the second-generation CV5-500 5-axis machining centre. It is designed as an entry point for companies automating production with a high product mix and small batch sizes. Pallet automation separates machine running time from part loading and unloading. Operators can therefore prepare jobs while machining continues. For smaller batches, system accessibility is a key part of its intended role. The solution is not limited to long, repeat production runs. Instead, it is presented for businesses that need automation while changing between different components.
The updated CV5-500 has an optimised machine structure and a revised design by industrial designer Ken Okuyama. Mazak attributes its accuracy and thermal stability to improved static and dynamic rigidity. The machine and pallet system will operate together on the stand. Visitors will therefore be able to see how 5-axis machining and automated pallet handling work in a compact production arrangement.
Connected machines and accessible automation
Mazak will also exhibit the QRX-50MSY SG turning centre with bar-feeding automation. Its twin-spindle, twin-turret layout is intended for productive turning operations. The bar feeder demonstrates a straightforward route into automated part production. The machine is aimed at buyers seeking to improve margins through reduced manual handling and higher output. Another exhibit will be the VC-Ez 410 vertical machining centre with a No. 40 taper. It is intended for high-volume production. Mazak combines spindle technology, high machine speeds and intuitive control in this model. The machine is positioned as an entry-level option for this type of work.
The stand’s digital element will be concentrated in the Solutions Centre. Three machine simulators will demonstrate SMOOTH CNC technology and iCONNECT M2M, Mazak’s connectivity service. Its integrated monitoring tool is designed to identify deviations in real time. Potential issues can therefore be detected earlier and downtime can be limited. The system also supports Fast Track assistance through secure remote access. This enables diagnostics and operational support without requiring immediate on-site intervention.
