Walter Maschinenbau will introduce a new HELITRONIC grinding machine and a new HELICHECK measuring machine in September 2026. The launches will take place at AMB in Stuttgart and IMTS in Chicago. Grinding and measurement will form the centre of WALTER’s trade fair presence. The programme will also include solutions for electrical discharge machining, software and automation. The official presentation is scheduled for September 15 at 10:00 a.m. at AMB. WALTER will exhibit in Hall 7, booth B31, on the UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS joint stand. The machines will also be presented at IMTS in Chicago. The unveiling is planned for September 14, one day earlier. IMTS runs from September 14 to 19, while AMB takes place from September 15 to 19.
New HELITRONIC and HELICHECK systems
The two machines are the latest additions to WALTER’s HELITRONIC and HELICHECK product lines. HELITRONIC machines are used for tool grinding. HELICHECK systems cover measuring tasks. By presenting both developments together, WALTER is addressing two connected stages in tool production: machining and inspection. The manufacturer has not yet released technical specifications or machine configuration details. Therefore, visitors to AMB and IMTS will be among the first to see the systems live. They will also be able to assess the machines’ intended role in the production process. The presentation is relevant to tool manufacturers and production operations. It will address developments in grinding technology, measuring equipment and the interaction between these areas.
Broader programme across tool production
Alongside the two launches, WALTER plans to show solutions for grinding, measuring, electrical discharge machining, software and automation. This wider programme reflects the processes involved in tool manufacturing. These range from machining and measurement to digitally supported workflows and automated handling. Application engineering, product management and Customer Care specialists will be available at the stands for technical discussions. Visitors can therefore discuss machine use, application requirements and service support directly with the supplier’s technical teams.
Digital review after AMB and IMTS
WALTER will hold an online trade fair review on October 6, 2026. The event is intended for companies and professionals unable to visit Stuttgart or Chicago. It will review the trade fair exhibits and include presentations on the new machines. Further information on the HELITRONIC and HELICHECK launches will also be provided. Registration for the online event is available through WALTER’s website. The company is also offering free AMB tickets. These are available to visitors who wish to attend its presentation at the UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS joint booth in Stuttgart.
