TRUMPF closed fiscal year 2025/26 with sales slightly above the previous year. Order intake increased by 7 percent. The preliminary figures indicate a change after several years of declining demand and revenue. Growth was reported across the company’s machine tool, laser, electronics and EUV activities. This makes the result notable for manufacturing markets.

TRUMPF generated preliminary sales of 4.34 billion euros in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The previous year’s sales totaled 4.33 billion euros. Order intake rose from 4.2 billion euros to 4.5 billion euros. This performance exceeded TRUMPF’s forecast from last fall. At that time, the company expected stagnant to moderately higher order intake and falling sales. CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller described the development as a slight economic turnaround. However, she stressed the need for caution because of geopolitical conditions.

The increase in incoming orders provides a more positive starting point for the current fiscal year. TRUMPF expects further growth during that period. The company plans to publish its final results, including earnings, on October 15, 2026.

United States becomes largest single market

The United States was TRUMPF’s strongest single market during the fiscal year. It overtook Germany for the first time in several years. Sales in the United States increased by about 16 percent. They reached approximately 760 million euros, compared with 661 million euros the previous year. The change reflects differing market developments across TRUMPF’s major regions. In Germany, sales declined by 6 percent to around 660 million euros. The previous figure was 700 million euros.

China remained the company’s largest single market in Asia. However, sales declined there by a further 7 percent. Revenue totaled approximately 450 million euros, compared with 482 million euros a year earlier. These regional figures show that the recovery was not uniform across markets. Stronger demand in the United States offset lower sales in Germany and China.

The company also reported growth across its business segments. For a supplier active in machine tools, laser technology, power electronics and semiconductor-related systems, this broad performance is relevant. It reduces dependence on a single end market or product area.

Growth across machine tools, lasers and EUV

According to TRUMPF, machine tools and laser technology contributed to growth during the year. Electronics and EUV activities conducted with semiconductor equipment partner ASML also supported the development. The company attributed noticeable EUV growth to significantly higher demand for semiconductors.

Higher order intake and growth across several business areas suggest that demand improved beyond a single product category. For production companies, machine tools and industrial lasers are directly linked to investment decisions in sheet metal processing and related manufacturing operations. Meanwhile, electronics and EUV connect TRUMPF’s development to semiconductor demand. As a result, the company’s performance reflects activity across several industrial markets.

TRUMPF also cited progress in development projects, including laser-based drone defense. The preliminary release provided no further technical or financial details. As of June 30, 2026, TRUMPF employed 16,960 people worldwide. Around 8,200 employees worked in Germany. Approximately 5,350 of them were based at the company headquarters in Ditzingen.
