Mazak will present laser systems for sheet, tube and profile processing at EuroBLECH in Hannover from 20 to 23 October. The programme in Hall 11 includes the FG-400 NEO tube laser with a new 6 kW SmoothCUT source. It also includes the OPTIPLEX HP for higher-volume sheet processing and the new OPTIPLEX Ez-L. Automation will also have a central role, including an undisclosed European premiere.

At booth D26, Mazak will show how different laser machine configurations address production requirements. The FG-400 NEO is designed for 3D cutting of tubes, profiles and complex sections. The OPTIPLEX HP is aimed at operations requiring high output, tight tolerances and extended machine availability. The OPTIPLEX Ez-L occupies a different position within the range. Its compact construction and simpler operation are intended to support companies introducing fiber laser cutting or expanding existing capacity. Mazak will combine this machine with the CSS 3015e loading and unloading system. This will demonstrate an automated cell with a relatively compact footprint.

FG-400 NEO combines tube and profile processing

The FG-400 NEO is designed to process round, square and rectangular tubes. It can also process a range of more complex profiles. Therefore, the machine is relevant to production environments handling multiple material shapes and cutting operations within one system. A key feature of the EuroBLECH presentation is the new SmoothCUT 6 kW laser source. Mazak will show the source integrated with the FG-400 NEO. It is intended to support cutting quality, accuracy and productivity. The combination is particularly relevant for manufacturers processing tubes and profiles.

Different geometries can be cut consistently without separate processing equipment. The machine extends Mazak’s presentation beyond flat-sheet cutting. Tube and profile processing often involves different workpiece shapes, handling requirements and cutting paths. These differ from conventional sheet applications. By placing the FG-400 NEO alongside flat-sheet fiber lasers, the booth programme reflects the need for systems suited to distinct production tasks. It does not present one uniform production model.

Automation for a compact laser cell

Mazak will also exhibit the new OPTIPLEX Ez-L with the CSS 3015e automation system. The laser machine is intended for companies investing in their first in-house fiber laser capacity. It also suits manufacturers seeking additional capacity alongside existing equipment. The Ez-L combines a compact design with simple operation and consistent cutting quality. This is relevant for companies that do not initially require a machine for the highest production volumes. However, they may still want to introduce laser cutting in-house or increase available cutting capacity.

The CSS 3015e automates the loading and unloading of sheet material. This reduces manual material movement around the laser machine. It also allows the installation to operate autonomously for longer periods. As a result, the combination forms a compact automated laser cell. Mazak’s presentation places automation alongside a more accessible fiber laser machine. It does not limit automation to larger production systems. For sheet metal processors, this connects capacity expansion with improved use of machine hours. It also reduces reliance on manual loading.

OPTIPLEX HP targets continuous production

For flat-sheet production with demanding output requirements, Mazak will show the OPTIPLEX HP. This fiber laser machine is developed for environments where high volumes, tight tolerances and longer operating periods are central considerations. The machine is aimed at companies requiring high capacity and stable cutting over extended production runs. Its role differs from that of the new OPTIPLEX Ez-L. The Ez-L is positioned as an entry point or a machine for additional capacity. By contrast, the HP series addresses production situations where continuity and throughput carry greater weight.

Mazak has also announced a European premiere for its EuroBLECH booth. Technical details have not been disclosed in advance. The new development will be shown in Hall 11, booth D26, from 20 to 23 October.
