UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS will unveil five new products at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart. Three premieres will come from AGIE CHARMILLES and two from WALTER. The presentation is scheduled for September 15 at 10:00 a.m. The programme also includes machines and components from UNITED MACHINING and UNITED GRINDING, alongside live milling demonstrations.
AMB provides the setting for the group to present technologies for EDM, milling, grinding, tool machining, spindles and automation. In addition to the new AGIE CHARMILLES and WALTER products, the booth will feature equipment from STUDER, BLOHM, CHARMILLES and MIKRON MILL. STEP TEC spindles will also be on display. The five product launches are the central event of the first exhibition day. However, no further technical details about the individual machines have been released. For visitors, the exhibits bring together technologies from both UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS divisions. They cover several stages and processes within metalworking production.
Live milling on the MILL E 700 U
The MIKRON MILL E 700 U will be used for live milling demonstrations throughout the exhibition. These demonstrations will show the machining process in real time. Visitors can therefore observe the machine during operation. Live machining remains a practical trade fair format. It shifts attention beyond machine specifications and towards the process itself. Visitors can follow the milling operation directly instead of viewing the machine only as a static exhibit.
The MILL E 700 U forms part of the UNITED MACHINING programme. This programme also includes technologies for EDM, high-speed milling, laser technology, spindle production and automation solutions. The appearance of MIKRON MILL alongside AGIE CHARMILLES, CHARMILLES and STEP TEC reflects the breadth of the division at AMB. The product premieres will take place at a fixed time on the opening day. However, the milling demonstrations will continue throughout the trade show. As a result, visitors attending on later days can access a live application alongside the wider machine display.
Technologies from two divisions
UNITED MACHINING SOLUTIONS is organised into UNITED GRINDING and UNITED MACHINING. The UNITED GRINDING division includes MÄGERLE, BLOHM, JUNG, STUDER, SCHAUDT, MIKROSA, WALTER, EWAG and IRPD. Its portfolio covers surface and profile grinding, cylindrical grinding, tool machining and machine tools for additive manufacturing. At AMB, machines from STUDER and BLOHM will represent this side of the group’s offering. WALTER will introduce two new products during the presentation of five premieres.
UNITED MACHINING includes AGIE CHARMILLES, CHARMILLES, MIKRON MILL, LIECHTI, STEP TEC and SYSTEM 3R. The division’s activities include EDM, high-speed milling, laser technology, spindle production and automation. The group reports total sales of more than USD 1.5 billion. It employs around 5,000 people across more than 50 production, service and sales locations worldwide. Its AMB presentation brings selected brands from both divisions together. The product launches, machine exhibits and live milling demonstrations form the main elements of the programme in Stuttgart.
