Laser Technology Janssen offers micro bending and forming for the precise production of small components made from thin metal foil. The process is suitable for material thicknesses starting from 0.01 mm and enables complex parts to be formed with very tight tolerances.

Using CNC-controlled press brakes, specialised bending machines and precision tooling, Laser Technology Janssen can achieve bending radii down to 0.07 mm and tolerances as tight as ±0.02 mm, depending on the material and thickness. Suitable materials include stainless steel, aluminium, copper, titanium and special alloys.

Micro bending and forming can be combined with in-house laser cutting, creating an efficient production process from flat component to finished formed part. Laser Technology Janssen can also produce the required tooling when necessary. The process is fully reproducible and suitable for both prototypes and series production.

Typical applications include micro-implants, surgical instruments, precision holders, semiconductor housings, connectors, shielding components, lightweight aerospace parts, small brackets, springs and frames for high-tech machinery.

 

Laser Technology Janssen supports customers from the engineering phase through to series production. Quality is monitored using optical measuring equipment within an ISO 9001-certified production process.
